We only exist thanks to an incredible team of volunteers who are involved in everything from building contact with charities, managing our events, sharing the work we do for the cancer community and shaping our focus on those affected by cancer.
We’re always looking for volunteers, whether you’ve got spare time that you would like to put towards a meaningful cause or a skill you’d like to offer.
Our current volunteers help with a range of tasks including:
· Research and data collection
· Assisting to organise events such as our annual ball
· Building support by cheering on our fundraisers at events and taking part in bucket collections
· Helping at events including our golf tournament and health and wellbeing event
· Spreading the word about the availability of our Comfort Boxes.
We have a flexible approach to volunteering, so if you would like to get involved for a few hours a month, a week or a year, we welcome your interest and would involve you in our team. At Cancer Card, we are always looking to deepen our understanding of the many ways cancer can affect a person’s life. That is why we work closely with academics and researchers, including Masters students from the University of Stirling, to help expand knowledge around the complex and often multi-faceted challenges people affected by cancer may face.
