We’re delighted to announce the launch of our new helpline service, which aims to provide nutritional information and support to people living with cancer.

Both living with cancer and going through treatment can make food seem less appealing. Many people even lose their appetite altogether and experience side effects that can have a significant impact on their quality of life and ability to enjoy their food.

Our expert dietitians are here to help tackle issues such as:

  • Taste changes and appetite loss
  • Nausea and constipation
  • Weight loss, and how to maintain a healthy weight during treatment
  • The current evidence regarding nutrition and cancer, including myth-busting stories from the press and social media
  • Interactions between food and medications
  • Maintaining a healthy diet and making food as appealing as possible
  • Accessing further evidence-based information

OPENING TIMES

Our helpline is available on:

Tuesdays: 12pm–2pm

Thursdays: 6pm–8pm

Call: 0333 034 1988* / Email: helpline@wcrf.org

At World Cancer Research Fund, we believe everyone who has been diagnosed with cancer should be able to access up-to-date and reliable information about the role of nutrition from diagnosis through to treatment and beyond.

That’s why we’ve launched our helpline, staffed by oncology specialist dietitians, to provide this vital service.

*Calls to 03 numbers cost no more than a national rate call
