Our Macmillan volunteers provide a supportive listening ear over free tea and coffee in our Macmillan hubs in:

· Barrhead Foundry: Wednesdays 10.30 am – 12.30 pm

We also have a wide selection of Macmillan information titles in our bright and comfortable hub spaces and can let you know about other sources of support, and often make a referral into these services.

Macmillan East Ren is Macmillan’s libraries-based project in East Renfrewshire, offering support and information for those affected by cancer through weekly drop-in sessions.

Macmillan East Ren Cancer Support Group in Barrhead

When you have cancer, sometimes it can help to be around others who understand what you’re going through.

Our monthly local Macmillan Cancer Support Group gives people living with cancer in East Renfrewshire a chance to meet, get to know, and talk with other people living with cancer from the local area, over free tea, coffee and biscuits.

We meet in Barrhead on the 2nd Thursday of the month. The group is informal and friendly and open to anyone who has a current cancer diagnosis, or who has had a diagnosis in the past. 

WHEN: 2nd Thursday of each month 1.15 – 2.30pm

WHERE: Auchenback Resource Centre (the ARC), 64 Aurs Drive, Barrhead, G78 2LW
