One Sun Yoga

One Sun Yoga classes embrace all abilities, from those with disabilities or injuries, beginners and more experienced practitioners, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

I am a yoga teacher and yoga therapist. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2022, had a unilateral mastectomy with no reconstruction in Dec 2022.

The following September I trained with Yoga for Cancer, Vicky Fox, so I could feel confident in providing classes for people at any stage of their cancer diagnosis.

From my own experience, although I was already a yoga teacher,  I felt very nervous about going back to a class with a teacher who didn’t have any idea about what I was going through physically but also mentally and emotionally.

You don’t have to have practised yoga before to join this class. I offer an online class that is very gentle, taught from a chair so you can choose to join from a chair, mat, wheelchair, bed, anywhere.  Also you don’t have to leave the house to join. The class is adapted for those with disabilities, illness or chronic pain. It is a donation based class making it accessible to all.

The movements are gentle, only doing what feels ok for your body.  Being guided by our breath allows us to connect/ reconnect with ourselves,  giving us space and time to process thoughts and emotions.

It is a safe space for people to be however they are at that moment, with no expectation of how to show up. We are all individuals going through many different things - all of which are very welcome. You don’t have to go through this alone.
